The delectable Johanna Allen knows what an audience wants…. And delivers…
She can start Summertime as Kiri te Kanawa and finish it as a sexy bluesy ballad. Her segue from a tender Eddie Perfect love song into the Spanish/English version of Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl is very funny.
She has hometown charm with big city polish and the result is irresistable.
Passionate, funny and stunningly sung
This girl can sing. Plus she has timing, presence and a whole lot of chutzpah. You can't get better than a standing ovation.

Allen’s versatility is particularly evident, easily switching from comedic and cheeky to controlled, classical.

The production is as promised – a mixture of music, all favourites of Allen’s, from Blondie’s ‘Call Me’ to Cindi Lauper’s ‘True Colours’ and everything in between. Allen’s rendition of Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’ is particulary beautiful.

It is rare to find a performance where acting instinct and voice are so finely crafted. Allen’s instrument is extraordinary - See it for her alone.
